Building financial trust in users with brochure design

Designed CRISIL’s extensive brochure for AU SFB by transforming financial products and insights into a visually rich narrative.

Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL) is a leading, agile, and innovative global analytics company driven by the mission of aiding markets to function better. A subsidiary of S&P Global, CRISIL provides credit ratings, research, and risk and policy advisory services. During our collaboration with CRISIL, we also gained insights into AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB), one of India’s largest tech-led small finance bank, which helps rural people grow small-scale businesses.

With collaborative design thinking and focused brainstorming sessions, we aimed to design a brochure that aligns seamlessly with AU SFB’s vision to make financial services more engaging.

Challenge

What we needed to redefine

Our goal was to design an engaging bank brochure with a fresh, distinctive look and feel that appeals to the end user. A major challenge was to ensure that the brochure’s content remained clear and easy to read. And finally, we aimed to create an engaging experience that supports the growth of both - the companies involved, CRISIL and AU SFB, as well as the users.

Our approach

CRISIL 🤝 Lemon Yellow

To design a brochure that is fresh and engaging, our focus was to capture the essence of AU SFB’s brand identity, and the brand’s users. We built on CRISIL’s established foundation, and aimed to create an enjoyable reading experience with familiar elements that resonate with the user. With the brochure, our desired result was to build user connection with visuals and create a meaningful difference in the reader’s lives.

Redefining the traditional manual

From technological features to financial insights, every element of the brochure was curated to define AU SFB’s services in detail. We ensured that each page optimized visually compelling designs to enhance clarity, coherence, and user appeal. The initial complexity of the technical content was balanced with visual designs that conveyed the message. Our final goal was to present the bank’s offerings with an elevated design that combined functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Simple onboarding turning into an adventure

Designing AU SFB’s brochure, alongside CRISIL, came with the responsibility of conveying each and every detail of the bank’s services accurately. Considering the depth of information, which majorly consisted of financial products, insights, and offerings, it was of utmost importance to treat and present each element with precision. Consequently, the rationale behind each layout, image, illustration, and piece of content, was to represent these aspects with clarity and do justice to their significance.
