Building a dashboard for Mahindra’s financial dealers

Information regarding trade advance, inventory funding, and vehicle loans now a tap away, with an easily accessible dashboard.

A subsidiary of the Mahindra group, Mahindra Finance is a leading non-banking financial company (NBFC). The platform provided vehicle dealers with a system to track and manage their vehicle stocks and get loans too. This system was scattered across different platforms, making it a challenging task to view.

Our target was to streamline this process by providing a solution that reduced the manual work to a great extent. And so we did, with design thinking, user research, and fruitful brainstorming sessions, particularly tailored for the fintech industry.

What we needed to redefine

The one challenge to resolve throughout the system was clarity, in understanding approval process stages and the key components. Tasks like tallying, delivery order issuing, and indent raising were too high-effort, demanding extensive manual labor.

Our approach

During this collaboration, we focused on designing a product that is simple, intuitive, and innovative. And throughout the design, our approach was to curate an experience that is convenient and familiar to the users. This was made possible by making the experience similar to their offline system of completing tasks, to retain previous learnings and make way for new ones.

Understanding the users

These are the users who have been dealers with Mahindra Finance pre-redesign too. They needed to be onboarded on the new platform with a smooth transition and a minimal learning curve.

This category of users are completely new to the app and this newly designed experience. This point marks the beginning of their journey with Mahindra Finance, which we aimed to make memorable.

What was the problem

Our happy ending

The transition from an extensive offline process to one that is online, on an easily available mobile app, was a journey full of new learnings. Watching the app thrive in the targeted user groups, while inviting and helping new explorers, is a delight to witness! 🎉
