Built a journey powered by user-centric design and development to support the ultimate eco-friendly commuting experience.

A leading Indian multinational automotive manufacturing company, Bajaj Auto is a renowned brand in the world of automobiles. Bajaj Auto is the world’s largest manufacturer of three-wheelers, and a significant player in the two-wheeler market too. By bringing innovation and environmental consciousness together, Bajaj introduced Freedom, the world’s first CNG motorcycle, and a revolution in green commuting.

We embarked on the UI UX design journey for Freedom with a single vision in mind: to create a user interface that not only enhances the website experience but also underlines the bike’s eco-friendly ethos.

Challenge

What we needed to define

The Bajaj Freedom is a pioneering product in its industry. For a bike that is first of its kind, our primary aim was to communicate the technical advantages and unique features of the bike. In the process, we also intended to avoid overwhelming the users, and help build trust in the new CNG technology. Another key challenge was to balance heavy interactions and content while maintaining fast load times, smooth transition, and cross-device compatibility. We wanted to deliver a high-impact experience without affecting the speed and efficiency of the website.

Our approach

Bajaj Auto 🤝 Lemon Yellow

The partnership between Bajaj Freedom and Lemon Yellow resulted in a modern, sleek, and user-friendly design. Our goal, while designing the website for Freedom CNG motorcycle, was to create an engaging experience that highlights the bike’s unique features. We followed an agile process where we aimed to combine rich animations with optimal performance, and convey the benefits and functionality of the bike, as easily as possible. With a focus on optimizing animations, transitions, and loading strategies, we ensured effortless navigation and high performance of the website - making the digital journey as dynamic as the ride itself.

Understanding the users

Daily commuters

These are users that need reliable transportation in their every day lives, to run daily errands and tackle other tasks. Fuel efficiency is of utmost priority to such frequent riders, followed by commuting comfort. Both of these needs now met with Freedom.

Green commuters

This category of users particularly choose eco-friendly transportation such as bicycles, electric vehicles, or public transit, to reduce their impact on the environment. A private and environment-friendly vehicle like Freedom is just the need of hour for the green commuters.

Painting the experience green

By adopting a user-centric approach, the design ensures intuitive and easy navigation, enabling users to quickly find the information they need. Empowered with new technology, the bike has many new features to learn about. Thus, our goal was to educate potential buyers about the benefits of CNG by seamlessly integrating clear and concise explanations without overwhelming the users.

Exploring the details with code

From design to development

Design and development went hand in hand during for Bajaj Freedom. We built a performance-driven and visually immersive website that allows users to explore the bike effortlessly. A structure was designed in advance to implement all sections efficiently. Asset optimization ensured faster loading times and scroll-based animations enhanced storytelling and smoother interactions. Most importantly, the implementation of clean and efficient code resulted in a website that was not only compatible across devices, but also assured better search rankings and accessibility.
